Nurse workforce programs funding letter gets bipartisan support

Forty senators added their names to a letter spearheaded by Senate Nursing Caucus Co-Chair Senator Jeff Merkley, D-Ore., to the House Appropriations Subcommittee of Labor, Health and Human Services and Education. The letter requested $530 million in fiscal year 2023 for Title VIII Nursing Workforce Development Programs, which support nursing education, faculty and students, as well as promote a diverse workforce.
