NCC reiterates FY 2025 funding priorities to Senate committee
AONL and the other 63 members of the Nursing Community Coalition reiterated their funding priorities for fiscal year 2025 to Senate Appropriations Chair Patty Murray, D-Wash., and Vice-Chair Susan Collins, R-Maine. The NCC requests at least $530 million for Nursing Workforce Development programs and at least $210 million for the National Institute of Nursing Research in FY 2025. The letter highlights the need for the Senate to make bold investments following the House Appropriations Committee’s proposed decreases for the programs, including eliminating the Nursing Workforce Diversity Program and consolidating NINR as part of an overall National Institutes of Health restructuring effort.
