NCC Supports Nurse Corps Tax Parity Act

AONL and 56 other members of the Nursing Community Coalition this week signed onto a letter to Reps. Brian Fitzpatrick, R-Pa., Brian Higgins, D-N.Y., Jen Kiggans, R-Va., and Mike Thompson, D-Calif., to thank them for introducing the Nurse Corps Tax Parity Act of 2023 (H.R. 5080). The bipartisan legislation would provide income tax exemptions to Nurse Corps scholarship and loan repayment programs. The change would bring the program in line with the National Health Service Corps, which offers income tax exceptions for its scholarship and loan repayment programs. (NCC letter, 10/16/23)
