Leadership model outlines supports for pandemic well-being
The Model of Leadership Influence for Health Professional Well-being provides a framework for leaders to support staff by targeting four dimensions of whole person well-being: purpose and faith; connectedness; emotional well-being; and factors related to stress and work/life balance. “Using this model, leaders can identify and evaluate the stressors that challenge their staff, individually and collectively,” the framework’s authors wrote in Nursing Outlook. Although aimed at reducing nurse burnout at any time, the authors also discuss the model’s potential to help leaders address current challenges related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
