HHS seeks comments on core data for interoperability list

The Department of Health and Human Services seeks comments on the United States Core Data for Interoperability+ Quality Data Element List. The list is a standardized set of health data classes and constituent data elements for nationwide, interoperable health information exchange. The particular list operates as extensions to the existing USCDI. HHS will provide the published list to federal and industry partners to establish, harmonize and advance the use of interoperable data element lists extending beyond the care data in the USCDI to meet specific programmatic and/or use case requirements. This updated version for review incorporates a thorough review of public comments from the May 2023 release of the initial list. Comments are due by Oct. 15.
