Children’s hospitals hit with RSV
Children’s hospitals across the country are admitting a surge of children with respiratory syncytial virus. Usually a common and mild illness, millions of children are getting RSV later in life, due to the masking and isolation that occurred earlier in the COVID-19 pandemic. The crowded hospitals are causing concern due to the difficult flu season and increasing COVID-19 cases as temperatures cool and people spend more time inside. (The Hill article, 11/4/22)
