Article summarizes nursing knowledge on COVID-19 in children

An integrative review in Pediatric Nursing summarizes the nursing knowledge on COVID-19 in children and adolescents published between March and August of 2020. The researchers identified four topics with care implications for children and adolescents: differences between child and adult immune systems; differences in COVID-19 presentation; vascular disease as a response to COVID-19; and policy changes relevant to COVID-19 in children and adolescents. They also noted the emergence of multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children, which is being studied globally.
