Article explores strategies to reduce nurse manager burnout
“Nurse managers are often recognized as pivotal to organizational success; yet, their workload is rarely critically evaluated,” researcher and AONL member Nora Warshawsky, PhD, RN, wrote in the April issue of the Journal of Nursing Administration. “By implementing evidence-based strategies, opportunities exist to protect this critical workforce from burnout or risk losing them from the nursing leadership ranks.” Warshawsky’s article provides strategies to improve the work environment, reduce the burden of job demands and promote well-being among nurse managers.
