AONL announces 2025 award honorees

Edna Cadmus, PhD, RN, received AONL’s Exemplary Leadership Award for her contributions to the profession, including standardizing N.J. nurse residency programs, resulting in an 89% retention rate for novice nurses and more than $7 million in savings. Cadmus is executive director of the New Jersey Collaborating Center for Nursing and clinical professor at Rutgers University School of Nursing. Katie Mapula, MSN, RN, director of nursing, Critical Care and Burn Center at Parkland Health, Dallas, received the Pamela Austin Thomas Emerging Leader Award. University Hospitals, Cleveland, received the AONL Prism Award. The Northwest Organization of Nurse Leaders, Portland, Ore,. received the AONL Affiliate Achievement Award, and the Healthcare Finance Management Association’s Todd Nelson, MBA, chief partnership executive and director of health care finance policy, received the AONL Honorary Member Award.
