AONL 2022 Welcomes Nurse Leaders to San Antonio

AONL welcomed more than 3,000 attendees to its annual conference in San Antonio this week. Attendees were serenaded by the Northwell Health Nurse Choir and inspired by speakers delivering messages on ways to become better leaders and further the profession of nursing. Erik Martin, DNP, RN, AONL board president, noted the crucible nurse leaders have faced since 2019, when AONL members last met in person. “We’ve seen our teams navigate challenges we never imagined. . . As leaders, every one of us here has invested energy, heart and countless hours helping each other navigate a new reality. I am in awe by what I’ve seen people around me accomplish, watching the care they deliver in the face of overwhelming obstacles has been truly inspirational.”
