AHRQ event to address ED boarding

The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality will host a virtual summit to address emergency department boarding on Oct. 8 from 9:00 to 1:00 p.m. ET. The goal of the live stream webcast will be to identify hospital and health system solutions to situations where patients spend hours, and in some cases, days in the ED while waiting for an inpatient bed or transfer to another facility. Brendan Carr, MD, CEO of Mount Sinai Health System in New York City, will be the featured speaker. The summit will include a panel on the effects of ED boarding and ED boarding solutions.
