AHA resource highlights infection reduction methods

An American Hospital Association resource highlights strategies and tactics used by many hospitals to reduce health care-associated infections and improve their infection prevention and control efforts. The strategies include building an organizational culture of safety; engaging all levels of leadership; focusing on foundational infection prevention strategies, such as hand hygiene; and using performance improvement tools provided by the Institute for Healthcare Improvement and American Society for Quality.
