AHA leaders share lessons from Value Initiative

Partnering between administrative and clinical leaders will be critical when designing and implementing value-based strategies, according to eight hospital and clinical leaders who took part in a four-part podcast series produced by The Value Initiative and Physician Alliance, programs of the American Hospital Association (AHA). In a blog post on the AHA website, Priya Bathija, vice president of strategic initiatives, and Elisa Arespacochaga, vice president of clinical affairs and workforce, shared five lessons culled from the Value Rounds podcast series. The lessons touch on patient-centered care, telehealth, the social determinants of health and value as a catalyst for health improvement. (AHA News article, 6/15/21)
