Survey examines infection prevention director role

Nurse researchers and other infection preventionists surveyed a national network of corporate-level infection prevention (IP) directors at integrated delivery networks to get a better sense of how the role is evolving. The responses revealed variation and commonalities in IP director responsibilities, how the role is structured and resourced, and the level of physician support it receives.
