Webinar focuses on coordinating emergency and addiction treatment

The American Hospital Association (AHA) will host a webinar describing how a Boston-based program is engaging patients with substance use disorder at multiple points of care to improve health outcomes. Harvard professors Sarah Wakeman, MD, and Ali Raja, MD, will explain how they coordinate their respective efforts to serve patients through addiction treatment and emergency medical care. Participants should register for the webinar, which will take place on Sept. 24 at 1 p.m. ET. The AHA's Physician Alliance and Section for Psychiatric and Substance Abuse Services is hosting the event.
