Self-assessment aims to improve clinician self-care
A two-minute self-assessment may help clinicians gauge their wellbeing and focus on their core needs to avoid burnout. Adapted from a self-assessment tool clinicians use to help patients with chronic illness, the Personal Health Inventory self-assessment has four domains: external environment, behavior and lifestyle, social and emotional, and spiritual and mental. The tool is designed to give clinicians a sense of the domains in which they can take action to better care for themselves. (HealthLeaders Media article, 8/25/20)
