Researchers confirm three cases of COVID-19 reinfection
Reports this week about three individuals reinfected with the coronavirus raised concerns about long-term immunity following COVID-19 and the potential effectiveness of vaccines against the disease. The first reported case involved a man in Hong Kong who recovered from COVID-19 in April and was diagnosed with a different coronavirus strain this month. Researchers documented a similar case in Belgium and one in the Netherlands. (Medscape article, 8/25/20)
