Nurse executive program empowers leaders

Many of the 73 leaders who have participated in the Coldiron Senior Nurse Executive Leadership program have gone on to publish leadership articles in Nurse Leader, been named fellows in the American Academy of Nursing and progressed in leadership roles, according to a Nurse Leader article. Published in the February issue, the article describes the accomplishments of the four cohorts of nurse executives who have participated in the program. Inspired by Marian K. Shaughnessy’s vision to empower nurse leaders at the top level of leadership roles to exceed beyond their current influence and positions and to move nurse executives beyond traditional leadership roles, the program began in 2021. AONL is one of the program’s partner organizations.
