FDA updates storage, transport requirements for Pfizer vaccine
To create more flexible conditions for COVID-19 vaccine distribution, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced undiluted frozen vials of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine may be transported and stored at conventional temperatures commonly found in pharmaceutical freezers for up to two weeks. Updated Fact Sheets for Health Care Providers Administering Vaccine (Vaccination Providers) are accessible on the FDA website to help front-line workers understand the latest alternative guidance on transportation and storage temperatures.
