Enrollment in Nursys licensure database tops 500,000

More than 500,000 nurses have enrolled in the Nursys e-Notify database, the only national database for verification of nurse licensure. Run by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN), Nursys also contains publicly available information about disciplinary actions and practice privileges provided by participating nurse regulatory bodies. Individual nurses and nurse employers may enroll themselves or their employees in the database free of charge and use Nursys to detect fraud and keep licenses up to date. (NCSBN news release, 7/8/20)
