CMS releases Medicaid maternal and infant health resources

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Service (CMS) launched the next phase of the Maternal and Infant Health Initiative, which supports state Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Program agencies in their efforts to improve maternal and infant health outcomes. As part of the initiative, CMS will roll out instructional webinars and tools designed to support states in improving postpartum care for mothers and well-child visits for infants, and in decreasing the rates of cesarean section births in low-risk pregnancies.
