CDC releases strategy to combat COVID-19 disparities
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) released a strategy this month for reducing the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on minority communities. The document lays out plans to improve data collection; expand testing, tracing and isolation practices for disproportionately impacted communities; support essential and front-line workers; and diversify the responder workforce. The agency intends to implement these actions within the next three to 12 months. (Health Exec story, 7/27/20)
