CDC partners with AHA on infection control training
A national collaborative aims to reduce the spread of COVID-19 and other infectious diseases by offering training to public health and health care workers. Project Firstline was developed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in collaboration with the American Hospital Association (AHA) and other organizations. The CDC initiative’s website hosts a series of technical training modules, practical tools, Q&A sessions and expert commentaries to acquaint users with infection control—emphasizing the science and reasoning behind it. The initiative’s goal is to help improve patient outcomes and protect health care workers by familiarizing the workforce with effective infection control practices.
