Begley addresses Black Maternal Health Caucus

Expressing strong support for the Black Maternal Health Momnibus bill before Congress (H.R.6142/S.3424), AONL CEO and American Hospital Association (AHA) Senior Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer Robyn Begley thanked the leaders of the Black Maternal Health Caucus for putting forth what she called “lifesaving legislation.” Speaking at an online stakeholder summit convened by the caucus, Begley and AHA President and CEO Rick Pollack shared remarks on their organizations’ commitment to eliminating disparities in maternal health outcomes. AONL supports the AHA’s Better Health for Mothers and Babies Initiative, which provides an organizational framework for addressing maternal morbidity and mortality. (AHA News story, 7/27/20)
