Applications open for Jonas Scholars program

Jonas Philanthropies has opened applications for its 2021-2023 cohort of doctoral nursing scholars. The 75 scholars selected for their potential to lead in solving pressing problems will receive $15,000 each to support their education in the areas of veterans’ health care, mental health, environmental health and vision health. “We’re increasingly viewing our efforts through the lens of social justice, both in terms of the scholars we’re supporting as well as the communities they serve,” said John Jonas, the foundation’s vice president. At least half the scholars in the next cohort will come from communities of color.
