AHA releases hospital-at-home issue brief

An issue brief from the American Hospital Association (AHA) Value Initiative provides a primer on how hospitals can provide acute-level care in patients’ homes, and highlights case examples of hospitals that successfully improved value through their home hospital programs. Podcasts on hospital-at-home programs launched at Atrium Health, based in Charlotte, N.C., and Brigham Health, based in Boston, also are available on the AHA website along with a webinar on how the home hospital model improves value and an AHA Special Bulletin summarizing CMS flexibilities related to the program.
