Webinar provides pandemic lessons for palliative care
During the pandemic, hospitalists, specialists, nurses and other clinicians turned to palliative care teams to relieve patient suffering and facilitate difficult conversations. Palliative care teams also co-managed complex patients and provided just-in-time education to enhance clinicians’ skills in communication and symptom management. Presenters will discuss the lessons learned from these experiences during a Nov. 2 webinar hosted by the American Hospital Association, the Living Learning Network and the Center to Advance Palliative Care. Participants should register in advance for the event, which will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. CT.
