Utah grants NPs full practice authority
Utah became the 27th state to grant nurse practitioners full practice authority. The bipartisan effort, which modernized outdated licensure laws, will improve access to high-quality care and help the state to attract and retain NPs, according to the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Utah became the fifth state in the last 30 months to grant NPs full practice authority. (AANP news release, 3/16/23)
