Scholarship program aims to increase clinician diversity

Dignity Health Global Education is partnering with Chicago-based CommonSpirit to create a scholarship program to tackle a lack of diversity in health care. The Equity Impact scholarship is intended to “level the playing field and open doors to job opportunities, promotions, higher compensation, and leadership positions,” according to the organizations. The program will distribute $3 million to health care workers interested in developing their skills, knowledge and expertise through skills-based education and training.
