Renown Health uses CHA to address its growing population
An American Hospital Association case study describes how Renown Health in Reno, Nev., used its community health assessment to address local needs and changing demographics amid a significant population increase. The hospital conducted broader outreach to solicit feedback on its findings. After community members identified youth mental health as a top need, Renown collaborated with local partners to launch a comprehensive mental health program across the care continuum. Partners share data, develop interventions and measure improvements in youth behavioral health. They hosted a youth mental health summit and created an online resource directory. Renown uses language services to meet the needs of various populations and collaborates with food banks, shelters and behavioral health resources to improve health.
