Nurses share observations of long-haul COVID-19 symptoms, recovery
Nurses in San Francisco, Houston, Baltimore and Fort Wayne, Ind., shared their observations of long-haul COVID patients in recent interviews with Nurse.com. Taking time to listen to patients and creating multi-disciplinary care teams to treat a wide range of persistent COVID symptoms emerged as two strategies for supporting people with long-haul COVID. Cassie Rentschler, NP, emphasized the importance of getting to the root cause of a patient’s symptoms, developing an individualized treatment plan and reassuring people their symptoms are real.
