New COVID-19 vaccines are available
The next iteration of the COVID-19 vaccines are available, following approval this week by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Food and Drug Administration. The CDC recommends everyone 6 months and older get an updated vaccine to protect against COVID-19 this fall and winter. Most people will still be able to get a vaccine for free, the CDC notes. The American Hospital Association offers a toolkit hospitals can use to promote vaccination. (CDC news release, 9/12/23)
