National Commission to Address Racism in Nursing seeks proposals
The National Commission to Address Racism in Nursing this week released a request for proposals for new or ongoing programs and interventions working to eliminate racism in nursing. The commission seeks proposals for evidence-based programs and interventions aimed at dismantling racism through diversity, belonging and inclusion initiatives; antiracism education, immersion and training; patient and family outcomes; and belonging, innovation and growth ideas. Hospitals, academic institutions, health care organizations, schools of nursing, professional nursing organizations, ambulatory and outpatient care settings must apply by 11:59 ET on Dec. 1. Interested applicants can register for information sessions on Nov. 3 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. ET and on Nov. 16 from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. ET. The commission will announce winners on Dec. 21.
