NYC doula program poised to expand

New York City Health + Hospitals will expand its reach to pregnant mothers who are experiencing homelessness or are imprisoned with a $2 million grant from the Helmsley Charitable Trust. The program, based in Elmhurst and Queens, is a collaboration between the hospitals and two doula organizations. The program uses community-based programs and telehealth and digital health to improve access to care for pregnant women and those who have recently given birth and their children.
