NINR director’s lecture on maternal health is available
The National Institute for Nursing Research released its director’s lecture on research in advancing maternal health. The lecture features Mahasin Majahid, PhD, professor at the School of Public Health, University of California, Berkeley. She presents her work on the social and structural determinants of maternal health and health disparities, as well as interventions to address complex and growing morbidity and mortality concerns. Majahid describes the importance of inclusive teams, intentional research and comprehensive solutions to improve maternal health. She also discusses the use of diverse data sources and community partnerships in developing interventions to address maternal health inequities. (NINR news release, 7/17/24)
