NIH to offer diversity research grants

Applications are open for the National Institutes of Health “Research With Activities Related to Diversity” program. The ReWARD program provides support for the health-related research initiated by scientists who are making significant contributions to diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility and who have no current NIH research project grant funding. The earliest submission deadline is May 5; June 5 is the final deadline for the first six-month cycle. Applications can be submitted every six months until Feb. 5, 2026.
