NCC urges VA to remove CRNA practice barriers
AONL and 46 other members of the Nursing Community Coalition sent a statement to the House Veterans’ Affairs Subcommittee on Health in response to the subcommittee’s hearing, “VA’s Federal Supremacy Initiative: Putting Veterans First?” The NCC called on the VA to remove barriers to practice and permit certified registered nurse anesthetists to practice to the full extent of their education and abilities within the VA. “Our nation’s veterans and their families deserve access to timely, cost-effective and high-quality care within the VA health system,” the letter states. “Removing these barriers for CRNAs helps meet this aim.” (NCC letter, 9/18/23)
