NCC urges Congress to make PHE waivers permanent

Fifty-two members of the Nursing Community Coalition including AONL signed a letter requesting congressional leaders to take legislative action to make permanent the Public Health Emergency waivers put in place during the COVID-19 pandemic. The various waivers and regulatory efforts, including telehealth, have expanded patient access to care, the group says. Specifically, the NCC urges Congress to keep several waivers in place to allow nurse practitioners to practice to the top of their license. (NCC letter, 3/9/23)
