NCC requests millions in support for nursing workforce development programs

In an April 11 letter, the Nursing Community Coalition (NCC) asked House leaders to support $530 million for Title VIII Nursing Workforce Development Programs and $210 million for the National Institute of Nursing Research in fiscal year 2023. “As the nation evaluates the lessons learned from COVID-19, it is imperative that funding for these nursing programs reflects the stark needs of our communities, especially as nurses across the country remain on the front lines of this public health crisis,” the letter stated.
