NCC Thanks Representatives for Introducing ICAN Act

AONL and 58 other members of the Nursing Community Coalition signed a letter this week thanking House Nursing Congress Co-Chairs, Reps. David Joyce, R-Ohio, and Suzanne Bonamici, D-Ore., and Vice Co-Chairs, Reps. Jen Kiggans, R-Va., and Lauren Underwood, D-Ill. for introducing the Improving Care and Access to Nurses Act (H.R. 2713). The bill would remove outdated barriers in the Medicare and Medicaid programs preventing advanced practice registered nurses from practicing to the full extent of their education and clinical training. Removing these barriers will increase patients’ access to timely care. (NCC letter, 6/20/23)
