NAM to hold Culture of Health webinar
The National Academy of Medicine Culture of Health program will hold a virtual meeting on March 9-10 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. ET. The meeting goals include discussing the significance of understanding the history and systems that impact oppression, racism and widening health disparities. Speakers also will describe how structural and systemic racism moves through systems to drive health outcomes and provide examples of levers of systemic change for advancing health equity, among other goals. Funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the Culture of Health program is a multiyear collaborative effort to deepen understanding, mobilize evidence and identify strategies to create and sustain conditions to support equitable health for U.S. residents. Participants must register in advance.
