NAM nursing report speaks to wide range of stakeholders
As various organizations digest the content of a recent report on nursing from the National Academy on Medicine (NAM), articles are appearing detailing its relevance to various stakeholder groups. In a policy briefing posted last week, the National Academy of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) listed numerous connections between NCSBN and the report, including its support for the Nurse Licensure Compact. In a recent essay, the director of the National Institutes for Nursing Research noted the role of nursing science in achieving health equity, the focus of the NAM report, and a recent article posted by the Future of Nursing: Campaign for Action explained the report’s focus on better nurse preparedness for public health emergencies such as the COVID-19 pandemic.
