NAM invites participation in Health Workforce Well-being Day
March 18 will serve as the inaugural national Health Workforce Well-being Day to recognize the importance of protecting health workers’ well-being to sustain the U.S. health system and ensure quality patient care. The National Academy of Medicine and 90 founding partners, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Dr. Lorna Breen Heroes’ Foundation, are behind the day for action, with a series of events planned to expand evidence-informed solutions to make systemwide changes to improve health worker well-being and transform cultures. The NAM website includes information about how individuals can participate. AONL CEO Robyn Begley, DNP, RN, who is also American Hospital Association CNO and senior vice president of workforce, is a steering committee member of the NAM Clinician Well-being Collaborative.
