Modern Healthcare names Zangerle a top woman leader

Claire Zangerle, chief nurse executive at Allegheny Health Network in Pittsburgh, was named to Modern Healthcare’s Top Women in Healthcare List for 2023. Modern Healthcare included Zangerle under its “women to watch” designation because she has “responded to the nursing shortage by implementing new programs at the health system aimed at attracting, supporting and retaining front-line workers.” The publication also noted her prior service as a trustee of the American Hospital Association and current service as an AONL board member. The annual program honors female executives across the country who are guiding health care delivery improvement.
