Members Advocate for AONL Priorities on Capitol Hill

A total of 120 AONL members from 33 states met with more than 175 congressional offices on June 9 to advocate for AONL’s 2022 legislative priorities of strengthening the nursing workforce and bolstering public health. AONL is working to address the nursing shortage through a national strategy to support health care workers and prepare them for the future. AONL members also discussed the Safety from Violence for Healthcare Employees (SAVE) Act with congressional representatives, expressing their support. A virtual Advocacy Day will be held Sept. 13-14.
