Hughes outlines AONL Workforce Compendium goals
AONL developed its workforce compendium to support nurse leaders by focusing on how to attract, re-engage and help nurse leaders thrive, according to AONL Senior Director of Professional Practice Rhonda Hughes, PhD, RN. In a Q&A in the April issue of Nurse Leader, Hughes said AONL aimed to illuminate successful practice-based strategies, including ones that have not been widely disseminated. The organization issued a call for best practices and exemplars to accelerate the sharing of successful practices. The workforce compendium has sections on talent attraction, acquisition, recruitment and retention; leadership and positive practice environment; and academic practice partnerships, culture of inquiry and total rewards.
