HHS releases dashboard to track patient, workforce harm reductions
The National Action Alliance for Patient and Workforce Safety launched a dashboard aggregating hospital safety data from four primary government measurement sources, creating one comprehensive resource for understanding patient and workforce safety. The dashboard aims to make safety data more transparent, as well as to monitor national safety progress and make informed decisions to improve safety and meet the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality’s goal of reducing patient and workforce harm by 50% from its pandemic-driven high by 2026. Although the dashboard initially offers access to hospital safety data, it will expand to include ambulatory clinics and nursing homes. The NAA is a public-private collaboration to improve patient and workforce safety. (HHS news release, 12/5/24)
