Framework can help nurses address SDOH

An article published in Nursing Outlook presents and applies a framework for nurse-led initiatives to address the social determinants of health. The Center for Latino Adolescent and Family Health at the Duke University School of Nursing developed the framework and applied it to addressing the contemporary Latino HIV epidemic. The framework considers individual-, group-, and community-level health inequities frequently occurring with other interrelated inequities, which nurses must take into account when developing comprehensive SDOH mitigation programs.
