Florida invests $125 million in nursing
Florida – facing a shortage of 59,100 nurses by 2035 – allocated $125 million in pipeline programs and efforts to attract and retain nurse faculty. With its aging population growing, Florida’s demand for nursing is particularly acute. Among other initiatives, nursing educators are using the funds to provide grants to students, invest in virtual reality to train students, hire instructors and offer supplemental instruction to students.
