Equity Award Applications Open

Applications are open for the Equity-Minded Leader Award recognizing a nurse serving as a catalyst for change at a system or organization level. Part of a national awards program, the Equity-Minded Nurse Awards also recognize nurses in other categories: a “rising-star” student or early career nurse whose contributions show promise for reducing health disparities and advancing health equity, and nurses making contributions to advance equity in practice, education and research. AONL is an award co-sponsor. Each awardee will receive $1,000 and paid travel to a reception Sept. 10 in Baltimore. The AARP Center for Health Equity through Nursing and the Future of Nursing: Campaign for Action are hosting the awards program. Applications are due by April 30.
